About Brian
Born at the apex of the baby boomer era, my professional career is an expansion of my college dream to talk on the radio. Four decades of coast-to-coast, small to major market + national syndication hosting and a shaved head later, my bio includes interviewing celebrities and politicians, broadcasting from the White House and foreign nations, covering disasters, human interest events, traveling extensively plus winning several industry awards and ratings. As time and colleagues passed on, I started thinking more about my family and the radio friends that continue to support me. And I would wonder, how can I thank them for their sacrifice? I retired from full-time radio at the end of 2017, and jumped into a home-based business and the podcast arena, both on a part-time basis. I also continue my love of terrestrial radio hosting, part-time! My life now has options which means I have the freedom to live, work and travel in my RV, helping my blood and extended family. Like Dorothy and Toto, I’m following my yellow brick road to OZ.

About Brian’s Beat Start Up Stories
Most people realize business owners are rock stars. Like performers these proprietors are driven to succeed. The term blood, sweat and tears aptly applies, because the owner-operator seems to practice their craft from dawn to dusk.
Start up owners toil to obtain necessary financing, pick the site location and sketch out marketing and sales strategies. They hire and train staff, pay the bills and are usually the very last in the company to get paid. In many instances s/he is the first person to enter the work environment and sets the alarm at closing. It’s no surprise that these rock stars are America’s and the world’s real risk takers.
Brian’s Beat Start Up Stories goes into the world of the proprietor to find out how these owner-operators do it, why they do it, what drives them? You’ll learn about the victories and daily setbacks. On this podcast, owners reveal their thoughts on important decision making issues:
- Cash flow
- Growth strategies
- Government regulations
- Employee benefits
- Working Capital
